As few weeks ago, Dr. Davis assigned us to complete a chart describing the nature of science, this chart is to help us pinpoint when we are really teaching science or not. In this lesson, I can say that we were using the aspect of the world is understandable. Our students were able to see that by using five of our senses we can learn about different things such as the smell of an object can help us identify the object or help us organize it into a category. Anytime in the last few weeks were my students have had to make predictions, I'm purposeful with my language due to the article "How Do You Know Science Is Going On?" by Karen Sullenger and allowing students to realize that there aren't any wrong or right predictions. That its all about the data they collect or use to make that prediction that matters and when we have different thinking going on than everyone else then we can learn from it and grow.
And that's all for this week,
Ms. Brookes
